The “We Are Together as Painters” Training Program, launched to contribute to the reconstruction process following the February 6 earthquakes, is a comprehensive training project that supports citizens affected by the earthquake in acquiring a new profession and participating in economic life.
The project, which combines the technical expertise of Filli Boya and Dow Turkey with the field experience of the Ahbap Association, offers a theoretical and practical training model to participants aged 18–45 who are interested in painting.
Educational Content
Participants receive training from expert instructors in the following areas:
- Paint and decorative coating applications
- Surface preparation techniques
- Safe working principles
- Material and product knowledge
- Master-customer communication and satisfaction management
First Employment and Social Contribution
The program aims to train 200 new painters by the end of the program.
Participants who successfully complete their training take on their first paid jobs within the scope of the project. In this regard, the painting work for two schools being rebuilt in the region is being carried out by the trained painters, thus:
- Both the schools in the region are being renovated,
- And the participants are starting their careers with practical experience.
Current Status
To date, two phases of the program have been successfully completed, with numerous participants
benefiting from the training and a significant portion gaining access to employment opportunities. Preparations for new phases are ongoing, and the project continues to contribute to the reconstruction of the earthquake zone.
