Gunes Kindergarten

In Altınözü, Hatay, we established Güneş Kindergarten together with our supporters to provide a safe and nurturing early childhood space for families affected by the earthquake. This is not merely a childcare facility, but a holistic early education and social support space designed to help children grow in a secure, loving, and stimulating environment.

Güneş Kindergarten supports children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development through play-based learning and daily interaction, while also easing the daily lives of mothers by offering a trusted place where their children can thrive. The kindergarten enables families to participate more actively in social and economic life, knowing their children are cared for in a safe and supportive setting.

This project is part of Ahbap’s long-term recovery efforts in earthquake-affected regions, focusing not only on immediate needs but on sustainable social resilience. Building on the schools we have previously opened, Güneş Kindergarten extends our education support to the early childhood stage, allowing us to reach children at a critical moment in their development.

With the support of Minhaj Welfare, Hart 4 Slachtoffers, and United to Rebuild, Güneş Kindergarten stands as a shared commitment to rebuilding lives through education, care, and community — strengthening Hatay’s future by investing in its youngest generation.
