2025 Post Disaster Support

Forest Fire Field Support

We supported the basic needs of teams and local communities by deploying 169 volunteers to forest fires in 19 provinces.

Project Detail

In cities affected by forest fires, our volunteers were actively involved in the field throughout the firefighting process. Between June 29 and August 24, we provided support for the basic needs of both the firefighting teams and the local communities in dozens of forest fires that broke out in 19 provinces across Turkey.

During this process, we delivered emergency supplies such as water, yogurt drink, hot meals, snacks, and eye drops to the field through our volunteers. We acted with local coordination and flexible logistics planning to respond quickly to the needs of teams working in high temperatures, smoke, and intense conditions.

A total of 169 volunteers worked simultaneously in different cities to provide support to areas affected by the fires. Our efforts continued uninterrupted during the days when the fires were ongoing, aiming to ease the burden on both the response teams and the citizens affected by the fires.

As Ahbap, we focus not only on the initial response during disasters and crises, but also on being present in the field throughout the entire process; together with our volunteers, we implement support mechanisms to ensure that needs are quickly identified and met.
