Project Detail
Since 2017, we have regularly participated in the Marš Mira march to commemorate the massacre in Srebrenica and keep its memory alive. This march serves as an important space for memory and solidarity, ensuring that what happened in Srebrenica is not forgotten and that the quest for justice continues across generations.
This year, on the 30th anniversary of the massacre, we met with the mothers of Srebrenica as part of the commemoration programs held in Srebrenica. At the meeting, we listened to the testimonies of mothers who have been mourning their lost loved ones for years and once again witnessed the importance of passing on the pain experienced across generations. This contact once again demonstrated that what happened in Srebrenica is not just a tragedy of the past, but a universal responsibility that must be kept alive in the memory of humanity.
Our participation in the March of Mira is not just a commemoration activity; it is also part of the collective memory efforts against the denial and oblivion of what happened in Srebrenica. As Ahbap, we continue to contribute to strengthening justice, human rights, and historical responsibility awareness through such gatherings.
